SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

Medved QuoteTracker can now be used to retrieve Level I and Market Depth from Open E . The proccess is a bit different than with other brokers, so please follow the instructions below:

QuoteTracker must be registered to use Open E Cry datafeed. To register, go to our registration page. |
|
Download the Open E Cry configuration files. |
|
Extract the contents of the downloaded zip file into the QuoteTracker folder (default is C:\Program Files\QuoteTracker) |

Start QuoteTracker and select OPTIONS/WebUpdate menu, then let QuoteTracker update all files. |

Now select Open E Cry as the quote source from the SITE dropdown list on top/left of the main QuoteTracker window. If needed, click START button to initiate the streaming quotes |

Select OPTIONS/Data Sources menu, click on the LEVEL II tab, select Open E Cry, and click on the button to reset all windows to the selected source |

You are now ready to get quotes from Open E Cry. To get charts, double click on the row. To get Level II, right click and select Level II |

NOTE: The current datafeed for Open E Cry does NOT provide backfill - retrieval of intraday quotes for
time periods when you did not have QuoteTracker running or were not getting quotes on a particular symbol.
QuoteTracker will only show the chart for the periods when QuoteTracker was getting quotes on the symbol.
You can however get Backfill from a separate data subscription from IQFeed
which is specifically setup in QuoteTracker to properly handle OEC symbols. You would need just the basic subscription ($20/month), NOT the real-time futures one.

The symbol format is ROOT+EXPIRATION, for example:
